Check out the many exciting, relaxing, and amazing things to do in and around the Humber Valley, from world class golf, to an adrenaline filled zip line, to world class salmon fishing, or downhill skiing or snowboarding at Marble Mountain, there is plenty to keep even the most adventurous person busy for their entire stay! Golf at Humber Valley Resort

Humber Valley Resort’s 18-Hole, par 72 championship River Course measures 7,199 yards and affords dramatic views over the Humber Valley, including Deer Lake and the Humber River. The course was designed by distinguished Canadian Golf architect Doug Carrick, who is known for creating courses of great character and beauty, The River Course is no exception.

Marble Zip Tours

Marble Zip Tours features eastern Canada’s longest, tallest, most exhilarating zip lining rides with unparalleled views of both the Humber Valley and Marble Mountain Resort. Located in Steady Brook, just 12 kilometers outside of Corner Brook–on the western coast of the island of Newfoundland– Marble Zip Tours is an adrenaline-filled zip lining experience that you won’t soon forget!

Visit the Insectarium

The Newfoundland Insectarium is a world-class attraction in Reidville, NL (just outside Deer Lake). It features thousands of live and mounted insects, arachnids, and arthropods from around the world. Owned and operated by Lloyd and Sandy Hollett, the Insectarium sits on 20 acres of land and boasts nearly 8,000 square feet in a converted barn. Since opening in 1998, the Insectarium has become a tourist landmark on the west coast of Newfoundland. The facility continues to receive rave reviews from its over 300,000 visitors.

TripAdvisor ranks the Newfoundland Insectarium as the #1 museum to see in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Cycle Solutions

Cycle Solutions is a locally owned and operated bicycle shop located in nearby Corner Brook. At Cycle Solutions, you can rent a bicycle of any kind, join bike tours all across the west coast of the island, explore other unique experiences that can only be seen or done on the west coast of the island such as caving and hiking.

Four Seasons Tours

No matter what your interests are Darren Park of Four Seasons Tours can provide a Newfoundland tour of a lifetime. Experience photographing bald eagles up close, watch the sunrise or sunset in the Bay of Islands, explore shorelines, snowmobile in the long range mountains, ice fish, or take a boat tour to catch your limit of Cod for supper. Corner Brook

The city of Corner Brook is the hub of western Newfoundland. The city boasts a population of around 20,000 people and is known as the outdoor mecca of the west coast. From the beautiful Margaret Bowater Park, to the Corner Brook Steam Trail, to the hustle and bustle of Broadway or West Street, you’re sure to enjoy whatever the day has in store while visiting beautiful Corner Brook!

Gros Morne National Park

Soaring fjords and moody mountains tower above a diverse panorama of beaches and bogs, forests and barren cliffs. Shaped by colliding continents and grinding glaciers, Gros Morne’s ancient landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander coastal pathways and beachcomb among sea stacks. Cruise the dramatic, sheer-walled gorge of Western Brook Pond. Spot moose and caribou. Hike to alpine highlands where Arctic hare and ptarmigan thrive on tundra, and explore the colourful culture of nearby seaside communities.

Pollen Nation

Located in the beautiful Humber Valley in Western Newfoundland, Pollen Nation Farm is a locally owned and operated Bee Farm that also has one of the best dining experiences on the island. Located on the main level of the Eagle’s Perch, the Lounge is open seasonally. The lounge offers spectacular views of the Humber Valley Region for lunch and relaxation after golf.

Newfound Sushi

Newfound Sushi Mission: To provide only the freshest and highest quality local seafood ingredients that make the most delicious meals. Create a great customer experience and provide a high level of service. Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted with a warm friendly and cozy atmosphere. There are 7 tables and 14 seats as well as 4 seat local juniper sushi bar. The interior décor features local artisans work with the Newfoundland and Labrador cultural theme.

Best Coast Restaurant

Located on-site in the Hew & Draw Hotel in downtown Corner Brook, this contemporary restaurant is a local favourite and is run by Corner Brook’s own Chef Dave Vatcher.

The Saltbox

The Saltbox is a restaurant catering to a number of tastes, but specializing in fresh, local, Newfoundland seafood. Saltbox Restaurant is ideally located on the shores of the community of Benoit’s Cove, nestled at the base of the majestic Blow Me Down Mountains.

Sorrento

One of Corner Brook’s oldest and best restaurants, Sorrento is not to be missed. Whether you’re in the mood for a specialty pizza,  perfectly cooked pasta or the freshest of fish n’ chips, Sorrento has you covered. Their dine-in lounge, large bar, covered patio, or  take-out option and contactless delivery make it easy to enjoy your food in whatever way works for you!
